Programme: Members are requested to arrive on June 7th in order to attend the President’s reception at 6:30 p.m. CARL Directors are invited to participate in the Committee meetings of their choice on June 8th, the Institutional Repositories Lunch (June 8th), the business meeting (June 9th) and the June 10th Program session (which ends at 12:00 p.m.).

On June 10th Brewster Kahle, Co-Founder of the Internet Archive and champion of a number of digitization initiatives, will address the CARL Directors on Universal Access to All Knowledge. Since the Association of Canadian Archivists and the Canadian Museums Association will both be holding their respective annual general meetings at the same time, we have invited them to a plenary session. CARL will invite the Executives of the ACA and the CMA to join Mr. Kahle and our members in a discussion of digitization principles and techniques with special reference to the possibility of a national digitization strategy. The programme will finish at 12:00 p.m.

For further information please consult the preliminary programme.

The CARL Dinner will take place on Thursday evening, June 9th at Boffins Club (Innovation Place, 104-111 Research Drive). Cocktails, hosted by the University of Saskatchewan, will be served from 7:30 p.m. with dinner at 8:00 p.m.
