Save the Date: CWAC In-Person Meeting – May 14, 2020, Montréal

[Update: Given the evolving situation regarding COVID-19, the Canadian Web Archiving Coalition (CWAC) is postponing this event. We are monitoring government recommendations and will reschedule when appropriate. On behalf of the Canadian Web Archiving Coalition Coordinating Committee, we regret any inconvenience caused.]

The Canadian Association of Research Libraries’ Canadian Web Archiving Coalition is pleased to announce its second in-person meeting, to be held at Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec (BAnQ), Montréal, on May 14, 2020. This meeting will follow the International Internet Preservation Consortium (IIPC) General Assembly (May 11th) and Web Archiving Conference (May 12-13th) 2020, both of which are being hosted by BAnQ at La Grande Bibliothèque in Montréal, organized in partnership with Library and Archives Canada (LAC) and University of Toronto Libraries.

The Canadian Web Archiving Coalition (CWAC) is an inclusive community of practice within Canadian libraries, archives, and other memory institutions engaged or otherwise interested in web archiving. The Coalition’s mission is to identify gaps and opportunities that could be addressed by nationally coordinated strategies, actions, and services, including collaborative collection development, training, infrastructure development, and support for practitioners and researchers.

Remote participation will be enabled for those unable to attend in person. We will be working over the coming months to assemble the program and prepare a call for participation.
