Research Infrastructure

CARL encourages federal policy and investment that will create and sustain a robust national research infrastructure. We see this as including adequate funding for university-based research, addressing both direct and indirect costs, and federal policy that fosters the management of research outcomes as valuable assets for the benefit of society.

We are an active member of the Canadian Consortium for Research, a coalition of 18 research associations from all disciplines.

Our Federal Budget submissions and responses to funding agency consultations  consistently recommend that the federal government strengthen Canadian university research and innovation.
