CARL supports assessment within and across Canadian research libraries that demonstrates the valuable contributions of these libraries toward higher education and the research enterprise, and that facilitates the continuing evolution of library services.
Strategic goals include:
- Developing new indicators and approaches, in collaboration with other bodies engaged in assessment campus-wide, to demonstrate library value and impact on research, teaching and learning.
- Supporting and facilitating an ongoing program of library assessment on a pan-Canadian basis, and encouraging the use of such evidence to strengthen the profile and services of libraries.
The lead committee on this topic is the Impact Committee.
