Signifying the crucial importance of publication and data repositories and the metadata registries that support their discovery and interoperability, Dryad, LA Referencia, and the Research Organization Registry (ROR) were selected as targets for the fourth round of crowd-funding from the Global Sustainability Coalition for Open Science Services (SCOSS). Please join the Association of Research Libraries (ARL), the Canadian Association of Research Libraries (CARL), the Canadian Research Knowledge Network (CRKN) and SCOSS for a one-hour webinar focused on these critical open infrastructures for science and scholarship, the services they provide, and the sustainability issues they face.
In this panel discussion, you will have a chance to hear from SCOSS Board representatives regarding the SCOSS vetting process, and representatives of the three infrastructures introducing their organizations and their paths towards sustainability. Moderators will explore plans to use the funds raised through the SCOSS campaign and their plans for the future. There will be time for questions from the audience during a Q&A session.
Participants will learn how to support SCOSS selected infrastructures individually or through their regional or national consortia. Each infrastructure handles the actual transfer of funds.
