Community call for academic library communications officers: Continued and evolving strategies in current times
Date: March 26, 2021, 1:00 PM (ET)
If you would like to attend and have not yet received an invitation contact us
Host: Michelle Blackwell, Director, Communications and Marketing, UBC Library
The Canadian Association of Research Libraries (CARL) invites communications officers from academic libraries to participate in an inaugural discussion of communications strategies beyond COVID-19.
Questions to be discussed may include: How did strategies to connect with students change? Will the strategies continue? How did communications methods adapt to keep students engaged remotely? What were some strategies used to keep the public engaged and informed? How did you facilitate communications between the library and university administration?
We hope this will be the beginning of a regular series of calls through which you can feel part of a national community of communications officers, share issues and approaches, and consider building a suite of tools and best practices that can be shared across institutions to support and strengthen the research library communications community.
