The deadly flu outbreak of 1918-19 is often called the ‘forgotten pandemic.’ It is our responsibility to ensure the lessons of COVID-19 are not forgotten. Our collective efforts to capture and preserve the essential online elements of this unprecedented event are critical.
Are you and your organization currently engaged in web archiving web-based information related to COVID-19 in Canada (or are you considering doing so)? The Canadian Web Archiving Coalition (CWAC) invites you to attend a community call where we will look at who’s doing what, how to best collaborate and coordinate these activities, and identify any gaps in our collection efforts.
This call will be facilitated by Corey Davis, Systems Librarian at the University of Victoria and Chair of the CWAC Coordinating Committee. Co-moderators will be on hand to ensure participants are able to contribute to the conversation English or French.
