CARL Releases Strategies and Practices for Hiring and Retaining Diverse Talent

December 9, 2020 – The Canadian Association of Research Libraries (CARL) is pleased to announce the release of Strategies and Practices for Hiring and Retaining Diverse Talent.

This document is intended for Canadian research library directors and senior academic library administrators who are seeking to foster equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) throughout their organizations. The document provides a set of broad recruitment and retention strategies, each with accompanying suggested practices offered in bullets and sub-bullets. These strategies and practices should be considered within the context of institutional priorities and applicable collective agreement(s) and be implemented individually or collectively.
