May 8, 2018. – The recently formed CWAC Coordinating Committee is responsible for translating the strategic priorities identified by CWAC membership into actions and initiatives that will have a real impact on web archiving in Canada. Currently, these strategic priorities are: collaborative collections, advocacy, and training. To focus CWAC’s activities in these areas, members of the Coordinating Committee will be leading three corresponding interest groups.
We are now looking for broad community participation in the interest groups to help the CWAC community move forward on priorities areas. If you are interested in participating in one of the interest groups, please contact the group lead directly by Tuesday May 15th. 2018:
- Collections Interest Group – Nich Worby ()
- Advocacy Interest Group – Jane Duffy ()
- Training Interest Group – Catherine McGoveran ()
It is hoped that those who participate in the interest groups will be able to actively and regularly contribute to the group’s objectives, participate in teleconference calls, and engage in online discussions.
We encourage people to participate that can provide as much regional and organizational diversity as possible. We also recognize that the best work happens when people with a wide range of experiences and perspectives come together. We therefore welcome participation from as wide a diversity of perspectives and experiences as possible.
If you have any questions or need further information, please do not hesitate to contact Corey Davis (), the CWAC Chair, or any of the interest group leads.
