Friday, August 18. — The Canadian Association of Research Libraries (CARL), in conjunction with Library and Archives Canada (LAC) and the Center for Research Libraries (CRL), invites you to attend @Risk North – an open national forum to be held at LAC in Ottawa on November 10, 2017.
Conceived as a Canadian-focused successor to the @Risk Forum held in Chicago in Spring 2016, this forum will give attendees an opportunity to discuss the state of shared print preservation programs in Canada in a setting that is meant to push these conversations forward into action. The agenda will include speakers from notable shared repository organizations, and topics will include the status of Canadian shared repository initiatives and the possibilities emerging from a robust shared print infrastructure in Canada.
We welcome participation by both CARL and non-CARL institutions for this event, which is intended for library directors as well as others from their institutions. There will be no registration fee for CARL directors, and a nominal registration fee for additional participants from CARL institutions and for those from institutions outside CARL.
