Two New Resources from the Scholaris Expert Groups
January 22, 2026 – The Canadian Association of Research Libraries (CARL) is pleased to share that two new resources from our Scholaris Expert Groups are now available: the S-DPEG Digital Preservation Explainers and the S-ETEG Addressing alternate format theses recommendations. The S-DPEG Digital Preservation Explainers are now available in English and French. The S-ETEG Addressing alternate format theses report is now available in English, and a French translation is forthcoming.
These documents reflect careful, practical work intended to support institutions as they strengthen local practice and develop shared approaches across the network. Whether you are building capacity in digital preservation, clarifying workflows, or working through requirements and expectations for non-traditional thesis formats, we hope these resources will be helpful for day-to-day work and longer-term planning.
We thank the experts in S-DPEG and S-ETEG for their dedication, professionalism, and generous investment of time. You can consult all Scholaris Expert Group reports via the University of Toronto T-Space Repository.
