A Cut Above the Rest: Implementing SWORD Workflows in IRs

Have you ever considered implementing SWORD workflows in your institutional repository? Simple Web-service Offering Repository Deposit (SWORD) workflows can often feel opaque to many repository managers, but they can be leveraged in such a way that supports automation and increases the number of items in your repository. SWORD is an interoperability standard allowing repositories to accept content from various sources via a standardized protocol.
Join the Canadian Repositories Community of Practice on September 2nd from 1:00pm-2:00pm ET to learn more about implementing and troubleshooting SWORD workflows in your repository. All levels of familiarity with SWORD are welcome to join! Our session will start off with a brief overview of SWORD workflows and their implementation. We will then move into some case studies that outline the ways in which SWORD workflows can be used to upload theses and published materials. Case studies will also outline both successful and frustrating SWORD workflow outcomes.
