CARL Canadian Repositories Community of Practice Knowledge Mentorship Program – Call for Volunteers

January 8, 2025 The Canadian Association of Research Libraries’ Canadian Repositories Community of Practice is launching a Repository Knowledge Mentorship Program and are seeking volunteer mentors and mentees from CARL member and non-member libraries or institutions.

Making sense of the repository landscape can be challenging. Let’s work together to change that!

The aim of this program is to connect experienced repository and scholarly communication workers in Canadian libraries with those who are new to the repository and scholarly communication scene. There is a significant amount to learn when first engaging with repositories, and having someone to consult can greatly facilitate understanding and navigating the process.

The commitment is estimated to be approximately one hour per month. The program will be group-based, with each mentor assigned a group of mentees, the size of which will depend on the total number of participants who enroll.

Interested in participating? Sign up to be a mentor or mentee.
