Call for Expressions of Interest – CARL Teaching & Learning Community of Practice
October 2, 2026 – The Canadian Association of Research Libraries (CARL) Teaching & Learning Community of Practice Steering Committee invites expressions of interest to join the newly created Teaching & Learning Community of Practice (CoP).
The purpose of this CoP is to engage library staff belonging to CARL and non-CARL institutions who have a strong interest in teaching and learning in an academic library setting. The CoP strives to foster a sense of community and provide opportunities for networking among its members.
The activities of the CoP may include, but are not limited to:
- Presentations and/or facilitated discussion on a set topic
- Invited speakers
- Moderated panel
- Journal article/book discussion
- Joint meeting with another CARL CoP
The time commitment for participants is expected to be two to three hours per month.
The Teaching & Learning Steering Committee will support the planning of the activities of the CoP. Please see the steering committee Terms of Reference.
